About this work, Hikari shares: “’God is dead’ is a quote by the philosopher Nietzsche; the denial of clinging to fiction, affirmation of nothingness… From works numbered #10 to #12, I focus on the internal ‘pain and wounds’ that people have and draw them so that people can perceive pain through concrete objects such as casts, bandages, wounds, and painting-like textures.”
